## About the Role

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
 * Strong mechanical design background within precision engineering or advanced manufacturing.
 * Proficient in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks.
 * Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and design for manufacture.
 * Experience in project management, technical estimating and customer support.
 * Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
 * Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 advantageous.

## Description

* Lead and support a team of design and manufacturing engineers.
 * Produce detailed 3D CAD models, drawings and technical documentation using SolidWorks.
 * Design and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies.
 * Manage engineering projects, technical changes and design deliverables.
 * Review customer enquiries, assess feasibility and support technical quotations and cost estimates.
 * Work closely with production, quality, customers and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
 * Ensure compliance with engineering standards, AS9100 and ISO 9001.
