The Sr NE performs day-to-day activities related to the support and documentation of VDOT Network infrastructure. Candidate must have in-depth, considerable knowledge and hands-on experience understanding, documenting, and maintaining Network related infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Considerable knowledge and working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers (including the ability to document, set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot) - Be capable of troubleshooting Network related infrastructure. - Identifies and diagnoses system problems by using line monitors, diagnostic software, test equipment. - Works closely with agency's IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to gather requirements, specifications, and configurations to assure they are accurate and up to date. - Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting application performance and uptime. - Assist in overseeing the installation, documentation, and upgrades of various agency facility data network infrastructure. - Will oversee and collaborate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.
