## About the Role

Technical/Engineering Design, Product Design, CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing), Finite Element Analysis, Analysis Skills, Physics, Static Analysis, Technical Drawing, Status Reports, Test Design, * Minimum 8 years of engineering employment experience.

 * BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
 * Proficiency in Creo, NX, and/or Catia CAD software.
 * Experience with Ansys Mechanical Workbench.
 * Familiarity with Structural design (frame, brackets, subframes).
 * Design for Additive Manufacturing and Windchill PDM/PLM.
 * Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T.

## Description

* Lead product and system design and development.
 * Focus on mechanical system and product design using CAD and structural analysis (FEA).
 * Engage in system physics modeling and characterization.
 * Develop CAD system and component concepts and packaging.
 * Apply linear-static Finite Element Analysis in design optimization.
 * Generate technical drawings and prepare project status reports.
 * Conduct test design, development, and reporting (DVP&R).
 * Guide lower-level engineers.
 * Support and resolve customer problems using mechanical, analytical, CAE, and project management skills.
 * Prepare technical specifications and develop testing methods and procedures.
 * Support manufacturing by answering questions and responding to ECRs.
 * Investigate alternative business opportunities.
 * Function as system-level primary customer contact in some scenarios.
