## About the Role

 * 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development or test automation.
 * Strong programming skills in Python or Java [confirm stack with team], with an architectural approach to how test systems are built.
 * Experience building or extending test automation frameworks and integrating them with other systems.
 * Experience with CI/CD (for example Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI) and Git.
 * Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and client/server system architecture.
 * Ability to analyze data flow and debug across application, operating system and network layers in distributed systems.
 * Working knowledge of Linux, networking fundamentals and virtualized lab environments.
 * Clear technical communication in English, and quality leadership within the team.

Nice to have

 * Network security or cybersecurity product experience (NAC, OT/IoT, device visibility).
 * Containers and cloud (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure).
 * Experience with API testing tools.
 * Experience using AI coding and test tools.
 * Dutch language skills.

## Description

* Design comprehensive test strategies for complex client-server features, from requirements through release.
 * Architect and enhance automation frameworks and tooling for scalability and maintainability.
 * Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing, and keep it fast and reliable.
 * Write automated functional, integration, regression and API tests.
 * Lead debugging of cross-system issues, including data-flow and data-integrity problems.
 * Partner with product and engineering to influence feature design and testability, and define acceptance criteria in scrum ceremonies.
 * Evaluate new tools, technologies and testing methods, including AI-assisted and agent-based approaches to test creation and coverage.
 * Own and administer the Eindhoven QA lab, including devices, VMs, network and test environments, and their availability.
 * Contribute to test environment automation using infrastructure-as-code and containers.
