You will contribute across the software delivery lifecycle, from understanding a problem and evaluating possible approaches through to development, testing, deployment and ongoing improvement. The breadth of our work creates opportunities to solve complex technical challenges, learn new technologies and build a career around work with a clear purpose. We are recruiting across a range of experience levels from GG08 to GG12. Applications are welcomed from people seeking either full-time or part-time opportunities. National Security in Digital Intelligence Digital Intelligence has more than 40 years of experience supporting National Security customers and their vital missions. Our teams bring together software engineering, cyber, data, architecture, consulting and delivery expertise. They work collaboratively with customers and end users to turn complex requirements into dependable capabilities that can adapt as missions and technologies evolve. For Software Engineers, this means working on technically demanding problems where quality, security and reliability matter. You will be able to see how your contribution supports wider mission outcomes while learning from colleagues with different disciplines, perspectives and areas of expertise. Your SubAccount This recruitment campaign supports opportunities across four National Security SubAccounts. The team you join will be determined by the role requirements, your skills and experience, and current business needs. Core Machine Core Machine brings together the foundational engineering capabilities needed to design, build, deploy and sustain secure software systems. Software Engineers contribute across the delivery lifecycle and help teams select practical technologies and approaches for the problem being solved. Cyber Engineering Cyber Engineering focuses on building capabilities that help customers understand, manage and respond to security challenges. Software Engineers work alongside cyber specialists and other disciplines to develop secure, reliable solutions for demanding environments. Emergent Mission & Tech Emergent Mission & Tech explores how developing technologies and engineering approaches can address new or changing mission needs. Software Engineers may evaluate ideas, build proofs of concept and help turn promising approaches into dependable operational capabilities. Mission Operations Mission Operations supports the development and continuing improvement of technology used in operational contexts. Software Engineers work closely with users and multidisciplinary teams to understand needs, respond to feedback and maintain capabilities throughout their lifecycle. Across each SubAccount, you will join a professional community that values collaboration, technical learning and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution. What You Will Be Doing Depending on your experience and the project, you may: Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software applications and services. Work with customers, end users and colleagues to understand complex problems and translate them into practical technical solutions. Contribute within multidisciplinary DevOps teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Build proofs of concept and production systems using appropriate engineering practices. Evaluate technologies and help the team make evidence-based technical decisions. Use version control, continuous integration and continuous delivery practices to support dependable releases. Develop automated tests and use static analysis to improve software quality. Diagnose problems, improve existing systems and contribute to the long-term maintainability of the software. Share knowledge through design discussions, code reviews and collaborative problem-solving. Learn new technologies and approaches with support from colleagues, formal training and digital learning resources. At more senior grades, provide technical direction, support the development of other engineers and influence engineering standards and delivery decisions. The role offers variety without expecting one person to know every technology. What matters is your ability to apply sound software engineering principles, work constructively with others and continue developing your capability.
