## About the Role

* Degree or HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
 * Strong experience using 3D and 2D CAD software, ideally within a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
 * Proven background in jig, fixture, tooling, or bespoke equipment design.
 * Good understanding of fabrication, machining, assembly, welding, and manufacturing processes.
 * Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

## Description

Are you a Design Engineer with experience in manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and process improvement? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business, supporting the design, development, and implementation of production tooling and bespoke equipment. Working closely with engineering and operational teams, you will play a key role in improving manufacturability, driving efficiency, and supporting the introduction of robust production processes., * Lead the design, development, validation, and implementation of jigs, fixtures, and production tooling for both existing and new products.

 * Manage tooling projects from concept through manufacture, testing, commissioning, and production handover, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales and budgets.
 * Produce detailed 3D models, technical drawings, bills of materials, and supporting documentation for manufacturing and maintenance purposes.
 * Collaborate with design, production, and project engineering teams to improve manufacturability, support automation initiatives, and optimise production processes.
 * Develop and maintain tooling standards, calibration procedures, maintenance schedules, and design records to ensure ongoing performance and compliance.
