## About the Role

* 5+ years of experience in software development or testing within an Information Technology environment, including DevSecOps-based projects.

 * 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.

 * Experience with Selenium, Java, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, and BDD frameworks.

 * Experience creating and maintaining complex, dynamic XPath locators.

 * Experience with GitHub, Git, and GitHub Desktop.

 * Experience developing test plans, test cases, and automated test suites.

 * Familiarity with Angular Material.

 * Experience using Splunk and other monitoring or observability tools.

 * Experience working in Agile development environments.

 * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

 * Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

 * Experience with API testing tools such as SOAP UI, Insomnia, and Swagger/OpenAPI.

 * Experience working with AWS cloud services.

## Description

CGI leads a team that supports and modernizes multiple cloud-based systems for multi-agency case management using Agile DevSecOps practices. Over the years, we have designed, maintained, and enhanced numerous AWS-based solutions for our client. Our client continues to rely on our experienced teams to address evolving challenges through innovative technologies., To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Test Automation Engineer who is eager to learn new technologies and enhance our testing frameworks. This role will help improve software quality, accelerate delivery, and increase deployment confidence. A strong understanding of test-driven development and quality engineering practices is essential, as these applications support mission-critical operations.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA or Lafayette, LA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities

 * Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate them into effective testing solutions.

 * Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Agile user stories using Selenium and other testing tools.

 * Work closely with business analysts and developers to understand the full scope and impact of requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

 * Coordinate testing activities across automation engineers on the team.

 * Design and execute performance tests to identify optimization opportunities and provide actionable feedback to developers.

 * Partner with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver cloud-based solutions.

 * Participate in design reviews with project teams and client technical specialists.

 * Coordinate integration testing efforts across multiple teams and systems.

 * Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews/demos.
