## About the Role

* 6+ years of experience in hardware design and development with a strong understanding of hardware design principles and methodologies
 * Ability to assess engineering changes, evaluate component obsolescence impacts, and support the implementation of approved updates across projects and product portfolios
 * Demonstrated experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., building automation, aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or industrial controls)
 * Proven track record of driving cost reduction initiatives through BOM optimization, component rationalization, and production process improvements
 * Experience in hardware testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability

Responsibilities

 * Drive cost reduction initiatives through product redesign, BOM optimization, component rationalization, and production process improvements
 * Support product lifecycle management process: ECNs, EOL and product lifecycle transitions
 * Perform rigorous hardware testing and validation to ensure reliability and performance
 * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
 * Stay current with emerging hardware technologies and industry trends to drive innovation
