## About the Role

On Site Support, Willing to Travel, Wireless Communications, Broadband, Problem Solving Skills, Telecommunications, Sales/Support Engineering (SE), Leading Edge Technology, Communication Systems, Radio Frequency, Associate degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field

5+ years of telecommunications, networking, or field engineering experience

Experience installing and troubleshooting wireless, RF, or communications systems

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Valid U.S. driver's license and passport

Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of the year, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline

Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications

Linux, Unix, or Windows administration experience

Polar Field Services (PFS) is seeking a hands-on Deployment Engineer to support the TaaraConnect program, an innovative wireless communications network delivering high-speed connectivity through Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC) technology.

This role is ideal for an experienced telecommunications, networking, or field engineering professional who enjoys a combination of technical problem solving, deployment work, international travel, and working with cutting-edge technology.

What You'll Do

 * Conduct site surveys and assess deployment readiness.
 * Install, integrate, align, and commission wireless communication systems.
 * Perform optical and RF alignment, testing, troubleshooting, and network turn-up activities.
 * Coordinate and manage deployment logistics for domestic and international installations.
 * Train and oversee local contractors during deployment projects.
 * Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to resolve technical challenges.
 * Develop and improve deployment procedures, documentation, and best practices.
 * Support network operations and incident response activities as needed.
