## About the Role

Systems Engineering, Information Technology & Information Systems, Problem Solving Skills, Information Technology & Information Systems, Systems Maintenance, Linux Operating System, Virtualization, Manufacturing, Technical Support, High Availability, * Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience. RHCE, LPIC, or similar certification is a plus.

 * 8+ years of professional IT experience, including 5+ years administering Linux in production, with Red Hat family (RHEL/Rocky/Alma) and Ubuntu.
 * Hands on experience building and troubleshooting Ansible playbooks. Exposure to Terraform, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.
 * Strong scripting in Bash and Python. Comfortable reading and writing YAML for Ansible.
 * Experience managing hypervisor environments with high availability (VMware, Proxmox, KVM, or Citrix).
 * Working knowledge of core Linux services (DNS, DHCP, TFTP, SSH) and at least one enterprise storage platform such as NetApp, Pure Storage, or vSAN.

## Description

Our IT team supports the Linux and virtualization environment behind our manufacturing floor. You'll design, build, and maintain systems that run 24/7, and you'll solve problems that cross several IT environments. This role is onsite in Austin, TX, five days a week.

What You Will Do

 * Design, build, and maintain the Linux infrastructure behind a 24/7 manufacturing virtualization environment.
 * Manage and troubleshoot hypervisor clusters with high availability, including storage and backup recovery.
 * Responsible for patching, upgrades, and hotfixes across Linux systems and hardware with minimal downtime.
 * Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and scripts to automate deployments, monitoring, and daily system checks.
 * Monitor critical servers and applications, fix performance issues, and work with third party vendors through resolution.
 * Document systems, changes, and procedures, and partner with other teams on new projects and system builds.
