Experience in technical support, managing networks, or other relevant information technology work may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis. Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business, the incumbent is required to maintain a valid California driver's license as well as a satisfactory driving record. In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, the ideal candidate will possess: * Experience with Cisco routers and switches, LAN/WAN, MPLS, VLANs and QOS in a large-scale infrastructure * Virtual server management (including Nutanix and VMware Hyperconverged technologies) * Disaster and Recovery (experience with DRAAS technologies like Rubrik/Cohesity) * Security tools (experience with MFA, ATP, CrowdStrike, VPNs, WAFs and NACs) * VOIP network support * Cloud virtualization and storage (experience with Azure/AWS) * Active Directory administration in a Hybrid AD/Azure environment, O365 services including Email and Intune * Next Generation Firewalls (experience with firewalls like Palo Alto and Fortinet), Tests may consist of any combination of written, oral or other exercises or assessment procedures that test content and may include, but are not necessarily limited to, typing, math, reading, writing and analytical skills; problem solving ability; computer and software proficiency, or any other job-related knowledge, skill, ability or qualification.
