## About the Role

* 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years managing engineers, including hiring and performance management.
 * Experience delivering large-scale distributed data systems, data pipelines, streaming/batch processing, and data stores handling high volume and low latency.
 * Strong foundation in at least one of: identity resolution, ad measurement/attribution, audience targeting/segmentation, or feature/data pipelines for ML.
 * Demonstrated ability to set technical direction and successfully lead teams through ambiguity
 * Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
 * Working knowledge of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA) and a genuine commitment to building privacy-safe systems.

## Description

* Build and lead a team of high-caliber software engineers. You'll be responsible for hiring, performance management, career development, and fostering an inclusive, high-output team culture.
 * Set and communicate a multi-quarter technical roadmap across core data, identity, measurement, targeting, and the ML feature platform, and make the prioritization and buy-vs-build calls that keep the team focused on the highest-leverage work.
 * Partner with product management, data science, ML engineering, privacy/legal, and adjacent Ads and Data Platform teams to translate business goals into a coherent, well-sequenced engineering plan.
 * Raise the bar on engineering quality across system design, data correctness, reliability (SLAs/SLOs), and operational excellence for systems that run continuously at massive scale.
 * Champion privacy-by-design and responsible data handling as a first-class requirement, not an afterthought, in every system your team builds.
 * Represent your team's work and trade-offs to senior leadership, and communicate technical risk and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
