Application Strategy & Architecture Leadership * Define and govern enterprise application exit strategy and migration roadmap * Lead application architecture inputs for the Migration Readiness Blueprint * Ensure alignment with: + Business priorities + Cloud-first strategy (AWS target platform) + TSA exit timelines 2. Application Inventory & Discovery Governance * Drive validation of: + Application landscape, workloads, and associated infrastructure * Ensure complete mapping of: + Application purpose + Business criticality + Hosting and infrastructure dependencies * Collaborate with DC Architect for infrastructure validation alignment 3. Dependency Mapping & Integration Architecture * Lead identification and documentation of: + Upstream/downstream integrations (APIs, DB links, batch jobs, SFTP feeds) + Data flows and authentication dependencies * Build and govern end-to-end application dependency matrix * Address complex: + App-to-app + App-to-database + App-to-identity dependencies 4. Workload Disposition Strategy (6R Ownership for Apps) * Define application-level disposition strategy: + Rehost, Re-platform, Rebuild, Retain, Retire * Evaluate based on: + Technical feasibility + Business impact + Cost and modernization potential * Identify: + Legacy application constraints + Licensing restrictions + Enviri shared dependencies and TSA blockers 5. Application Modernization & Cloud Alignment * Define target-state application architecture aligned to: + AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda) * Recommend: + Re-platforming or modernization opportunities + API-driven, microservices, or cloud-native architecture (where applicable) * Identify workloads requiring: + Hybrid or alternative hosting models 6. Data Flow & Data Migration Strategy * Analyze and define: + Application-level data flows and integration patterns + Data volumes and retention requirements * Provide architecture for: + Data migration + Data archival and disposition * Align with data and cloud teams on: + Database migration approach + File storage movement strategy 7. Migration Wave Planning & Execution Strategy * Define application-aware migration wave strategy: + Group workloads based on dependency clusters * Establish: + Cutover approach + Rollback procedures + Business validation checkpoints * Ensure migration sequencing minimizes: + Application downtime + Business disruption 8. Application Risk, Constraints & Governance * Own: + Application-level risk, assumptions, and constraints register * Identify risks such as: + Legacy OS dependencies + Tight app-database coupling + Hardcoded integrations * Define mitigation strategies and escalation plans 9. Cross-Workstream Coordination & Leadership * Drive alignment with: + DC Architect (infra readiness) + Cloud Architect (target platform) + Identity & Security teams (SSO, authentication) * Ensure dependencies across: + Identity (WS1), Cloud (WS2), Network (WS5) are addressed before migration 10.
