Responsibilities: * Recommend and implement changes to the AETCD data model/schema. * Ensure that software design, database design, and interfaces allow for high levels of performance, maintainability, and reliability * Define and document logical attributes and data inter-relationships for complex data structures. * Design and maintain relational integrity, concurrency controls, index optimization, log clean-ups, and page files. * Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures, triggers, functions, and indexes to ensure that they are optimized for fast execution speeds to the greatest extent possible. * Monitor database activity and file usage. Recommend and/or implement tuning opportunities to improve system response and run times. * Support upgrades/patches of the database management system software as necessary. * Maintain the IA posture of the database system to include monitoring and resolution of applicable IAVAs.
