This is a domain leadership role: you set the technical direction, define the architecture, and are ultimately accountable for the health and evolution of the systems within your domain. You'll operate at the intersection of deep technical ownership and cross-functional influence, partnering closely with business stakeholders and executive leadership to translate business needs into sound technical decisions and technical tradeoffs into clear recommendations that non-engineers can act on. You'll work closely with a small, high-impact engineering team, raising the technical bar through design leadership, hands-on code, and mentorship. This role is for someone who sees the technical and the business not as two separate worlds, but as the same problem viewed from different angles.
