Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Two years of experience in automated data processing or a similar administrative occupation. * Proficiency in quality control capabilities. * Knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint. * Ability to travel and work in a field environment. * Ability to use tablets for electronic data collection. * College coursework in a computer-related field is desirable. * This is a Service Contract Act position, subject to all conditions of the Service Contract Act. ## Description The Computer Operator I (CO I) monitors and operates control consoles of mainframe digital computers or groups of minicomputers to process data. This role involves executing tasks as per operating instructions, performing data entry, conducting quality control checks, and assisting with system modifications under close supervision., * Monitor and operate the control console of mainframe computers or minicomputers. * Execute test runs of new or modified programs. * Assist in modifying systems or programs as instructed. * Resolve common operating problems with detailed guidance. * Conduct data entry and quality control checks of data. * Investigate data anomalies and handle requests for information. * Record data authentication group meeting notes and track requests for information. * Manage accounting for all data in and out of the data management cell. * Scan paper-based data products to digital format and shred paper-based copies. * Utilize MS Access, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint for data management and reporting. * Knowledge of ATOM and EWSS are beneficial. * he computer operator may be working approximately 8 hours, 5 days a week during training.
