House Managers are required to display a professional, positive, and caring attitude at all times and with all individuals you will come into contact with (examples: persons supported, co-workers, patrons, family members, etc.). You are also expected to act as a role model for those you supervise. A House Manager's first priority is to ensure that the individuals we are supporting are safe, happy, healthy, and treated with respect and dignity. All persons supported are entitled to top-quality care and an excellent quality of life. The House Manager is responsible to provide direction, support, training, coaching, and mentoring to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other staff to ensure that individuals receiving services are treated in the manner described above and assisted and supported as described in individual support plans, policies, procedures, and other documents. The House Manager is ultimately responsible for all functions of a home: day-to-day operations/general functions, administration and supervision responsibilities, training, scheduling, financials, medical, household duties, emergency procedures, etc. The House Manager is required to work with the Residential Coordinator, Agency Support Coordinators (ASCs), Scheduler/Labor Coordinator, Human Resources, and other administrative departments to reach these goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner.
