Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # API 653 Inspector - **Company:** ROSEN Group - **Location:** Houston, TX, United States - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Computer Literacy - **Published:** June 7, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=4c6bfc95d7fecb23 ## About the Role * Frequently lift and/or move greater than 50 pounds and/or lift greater than 180 lbs. with help of one person * Must be able to work on hands and knees and crawl into tight spaces * Must be able to work in environment with extreme heat or cold temperatures * Ability to work in limited lighting * Potential to work in elevated heights Qualification or Skills: * Must hold a API 653 Certification * Extended periods of travel > 60-70% * Maintain a valid US Passport * 2yr Degree in Mechanical or Electronic discipline or equivalent work experience. * Maintain a clean driving record * Maintain a valid TWIC card (a plus) * Computer Literacy - existing knowledge of MS word & excel * Excellent organizational skills * Clean driving record * Prior NDT experience * Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus) * API 653, 570 or 510 Certification * Successfully complete a drug screen test, background check and physical performance evaluation including a vision exam as applicable to the position ## Description * Perform API 653 inspections per customer's scope of work and Rosen's internal process and procedures. * The NDT Inspector will be responsible for preparing and finalizing inspection reports. * This person will be assisting customers and field personnel in the preparation, set up and maintaining paperwork connected with each project. * Ideal individual will be prepared to progress rapidly in order to advance to levels requiring more knowledge of the basic tool functions. * The onsite description will be either at a refinery or a tank farm.
