## About the Role

Do you have experience in Version control systems?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

 * Minimum 5 years of experience working with relational databases
 * Strong experience with MySQL design, performance tuning, and optimization
 * Experience supporting large-scale or multi-terabyte database environments
 * Strong SQL skills with a focus on query performance and optimization
 * Experience with replication, high availability, and disaster recovery
 * Experience with automation and Git-based workflows, * Experience with database migration and change management tools (e.g., Flyway, Liquibase, Grate)
 * Familiarity with Snowflake and MSSQL environments
 * Experience designing multi-tenant database architectures
 * Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
 * Experience in healthcare or revenue cycle management
 * Experience supporting high-volume production systems

## Description

The Database Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and evolving large-scale MySQL database environments in a high-volume production setting. This role ensures scalable data structures, high-performance query execution, and reliable database operations across multi-terabyte systems. The Database Engineer partners with engineering, data, and analytics teams to modernize database architecture and support downstream reporting and data platforms., * Design and evolve MySQL schemas to support scalable, multi-tenant architectures

 * Define and enforce database design standards including indexing, partitioning, and performance optimization
 * Optimize complex SQL queries and resolve systemic database performance issues
 * Implement and automate database change management, schema deployments, and migrations
 * Maintain replication, failover, and disaster recovery processes to ensure high availability
 * Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure data integrity
 * Support cross-platform environments including MSSQL and Snowflake integrations
 * Collaborate with engineering and BI teams to align data structures with reporting and analytics needs
 * Work within Jira workflows and use GitHub for version control and documentation
