Or, Six 6 years equivalent experience in IT systems configuration, setup, installation and administration. years of System Administration/Network Administration experience (Linux and/or Windows, Cisco/HP) * DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program Certifications: Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC Desired Competencies: * DoD IT/GMD/MDA experience * Working in a classified environment * Container Management experience: Docker, Docker Compose, UI, NANO * Cybersecurity familiarity with tools: ACAS/Nessus, SCAP * Cybersecurity familiarity with fundamentals: CTO, ATO, RMF * VMWare/vSphere familiarity: know how to use/access machines, snapshots and restores, basic software troubleshooting, patching, upgrading, Horizon server management * Intermediate/Advanced Linux administration: YUM, Kickstart, Ansible * Windows Administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, CA, WSUS, RSA console * CND/Incident Response Tool experience: SIEM-ArcSight/Splunk, Snort, OSSEC/Wazuh * Intermediate understanding with Cisco and HP OS routers & switches * Basic understanding with Splunk backend, indexes * Hardware support, HP server, KVM * Thin client, basic hardware troubleshooting * Familiar with Windows Oss 10/11 Windows servers * Familiar with Windows Office Suite * Familiar with work Order creation, maintenance, tracking, and closing * Familiar with basic property accountability processes Clearance Requirements: * Must currently possess a DoD Secret Security Clearance at the time of hire ## Description System Administrator 3 (SA3) is responsible for setting up and maintaining a system or specific components of a system in adherence with organizational security policies and procedures. Includes hardware and software installation, configuration, and updates; user account management; backup and recovery management; and security control implementation. SA3 assists with the integration, testing, documentation, and fielding of a Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Information System (IS). Systems Administrators combine cybersecurity expertise with hands-on technical skills to maintain secure, efficient, and resilient IT environments. They manage virtual systems, automate controls, and respond rapidly to complex incidents.
