O/a Técnico/a em Engenharia Arquitetônica - Analista (Coordenador/a de Desenhos) deverá assegurar a aplicação das melhores práticas de gestão de projetos, engenharia, arquitetura e design técnico ao longo de todo o ciclo de desenvolvimento dos projetos, incluindo a coordenação multidisciplinar entre projetistas, equipes técnicas, especialistas e partes interessadas. The Architectural Engineering Technician - Analyst (Design Review Coordinator) must ensure the application of best practices in project management, engineering, architecture, and technical design throughout the entire project development cycle, including multidisciplinary coordination between designers, technical teams, specialists, and stakeholders. They must also ensure project compliance with Health, Safety, Social, and Environmental (HSSE) requirements, risk management, sustainability, accessibility, social inclusion, and Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Sexual Harassment (PSEAH) requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for promoting effective processes for technical review, quality control, and document management, ensuring that technical specifications, reports, drawings, quantities, cost estimates, and other engineering and architectural documents are complete, consistent, coordinated, and suitable for approval, bidding, and construction purposes. Additionally, the Architectural Engineering Technician - Analyst (Design Review Coordinator) shall provide strategic technical guidance to project and management teams, support decision-making on topics related to engineering and architectural solutions, monitor technical risks, and propose corrective and preventive measures to ensure efficiency, constructability, and the proper implementation of the projects. The incumbent must demonstrate solid technical expertise, leadership and multidisciplinary coordination skills, proactive resource management, and the ability to ensure integrity, transparency, effective communication, and articulation among stakeholders in all activities related to the development and management of engineering and architectural projects., * Plan, coordinate, and supervise the development, compatibility, and review of engineering and architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with project requirements, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and UNOPS guidelines. * Coordinate technical review processes, multidisciplinary compatibility, and quality control for engineering and architectural projects, ensuring consistency, technical integrity, constructability, and suitability for procurement and works execution. * Provide technical guidance in the review, certification, and approval processes of projects with UNOPS internal bodies, including coordination with technical specialists, independent reviewers, and applicable corporate groups. * Support project managers and technical teams in the planning, prioritization, and execution of activities related to engineering and architectural projects, ensuring proper multidisciplinary coordination among technical disciplines, consultants, designers. * Monitor the performance of consultants, designers, and technical teams involved in project design and review, ensuring compliance with schedules, contractual deliverables, and established technical requirements. * Participate in strengthening technical contributions for engineering and architectural projects, technical specifications, descriptive memoirs, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), cost estimates, technical drawings, and other project documents, ensuring compliance with applicable technical norms, international standards, UNOPS guidelines, and partner requirements. * Ensure proper compatibility between engineering and architectural projects and works execution needs, promoting viable, efficient, and sustainable technical solutions aligned with local and operational conditions. * Support project managers in evaluating engineering and architectural solutions from the perspective of technical feasibility, operational efficiency, sustainability, resilience, maintenance, and infrastructure life-cycle cost. * Support project managers in performing technical evaluations, field inspections, and compliance verifications to ensure that executed works and services meet project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. * Monitor performance indicators, technical risks, scope deviations, potential delays, and budgetary impacts, proposing corrective and preventive measures for risk mitigation and project execution improvement. * Support the preparation and review of work plans, schedules, implementation strategies, progress reports, and other technical documents related to project development. * Participate in technical meetings, project reviews, procurement processes, technical evaluation processes, and other coordination spaces related to project development and implementation. 2. Compliance HSSE * Ensure full compliance of projects and activities under supervision with UNOPS HSSE policies, environmental and social safeguards, accessibility and inclusion requirements, as well as Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) standards. * Ensure that engineering and architectural projects incorporate principles of sustainability, climate resilience, operational safety, and mitigation of environmental and social impacts throughout the entire project cycle. * Identify, assess, and support the mitigation of risks related to safety, occupational health, environmental impacts, social risks, and community engagement during project development and implementation. * Promote the adoption of best practices in sustainable construction, energy efficiency, rational resource use, and technical solutions that are resilient and appropriate for the local context. 3. Monitoring and Reporting * Maintain accurate technical, administrative, and documentary records related to project development, technical reviews, inspections, project decisions, risks, changes, and activity progress. * Support the preparation and consolidation of technical reports, periodic reports, executive presentations, and other project monitoring documents, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and up-to-date information. * Monitor the implementation of change controls, risk registers, pending technical issues, and action plans, ensuring timely and appropriate reporting of critical project information. * Support commissioning processes, technical handover, contractual closure, and archiving of final project and works documentation. * Ensure the proper organization, updating, and traceability of technical files and engineering/architectural documentation throughout the project cycle. 4. Knowledge Development and Sharing * Support the organization, facilitation, and conduction of training, technical sessions, and capacity-building initiatives related to engineering, architecture, project management, and construction best practices. * Contribute to knowledge management initiatives by sharing lessons learned and participating in Communities of Practice (CoPs), promoting the dissemination of best practices and technical innovation. * Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technical teams and professionals involved in project development, promoting continuous improvement, capacity building, and process standardization. * Contribute to the development and enhancement of procedures, tools, templates, and technical guidelines related to the management and development of engineering and architectural projects., Treats all individuals with respect; responds sensitively to differences and encourages others to do the same.
