Ability to accurately interpret maps and plats; knowledge of surveying principles and practices; ability to work under limited supervision; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers public and private agencies and the general public., * Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Cartography, Computer Service, Planning, Surveying, Real Estate). * In lieu of education, a minimum of three (3) years experience in property listing, real estate title work, surveying, mapping or assessing. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of instruments that affect land divisions and land title * Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS applications * Knowledge of surveying principles and practices * Knowledge of geographic information system methods * Knowledge of mathematics, including ratios and area calculations * Ability to accurately interpret maps and plats * Ability to read, interpret and write real estate legal descriptions based on the Public Land Survey System * Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written format * Ability to work under limited supervision * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, public and private agencies and the general public * Understanding of the assessment and taxation process * Strong research capabilities ## Description The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
