## Description

The St. Louis Public Library is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join the Technology Department. The Help Desk Technician is responsible for providing Level 1 support to Library staff. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is willing to learn everything and are enthusiastic about helping people., + Respond to incoming telephone calls and Help Desk ticket requests from users experiencing problems with hardware and other equipment.

 + Respond to incoming telephone calls and Help Desk ticket requests from users experiencing problems with basic software.
 + Provide basic support for problems with desktops, laptops, Chrome devices, printers, scanners, mobile devices, etc.
 + Thoroughly document troubleshooting progress in ticketing system
 + Troubleshoot issues before escalating tickets to the next level of support
 + Image and install new computers
 + Follow surplus procedures for equipment that is no longer needed
 + Maintain an accurate inventory of technology equipment
 + Complete other duties as assigned
