## About the Role

Do you have experience in Operating systems?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field

 * 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, systems administration, or cybersecurity support
 * Understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity principles
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills
 * Strong organizational skills
 * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Essential Functions:

 * Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear
 * Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds, * Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
 * Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or CMMC
 * Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+
 * Eagerness to learn and grow within IT infrastructure and cybersecurity

## Description

Espey is seeking an IT Support & Cybersecurity Technician to assist with maintaining and securing the company's IT infrastructure across manufacturing and office environments. This role is ideal for an early-career IT professional looking to grow hands-on experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, technical support, and network operations within a regulated manufacturing environment.

The IT Support & Cybersecurity Technician will support day-to-day IT operations, assist with cybersecurity initiatives, troubleshoot technical issues, and help maintain secure and reliable systems that support engineering, manufacturing, and business operations., Including, but not limited to:

 * Perform routine tasks that verify security compliance
 * Monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards
 * Review antivirus, EDR, and firewall alerts
 * Perform vulnerability scanning and review scan results and remediate vulnerabilities within defined guidelines
 * Help monitor and maintain cybersecurity tools, security updates, and system protections
 * Support IT documentation, inventory management, and secure system configuration
 * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to IT operations and cybersecurity
 * Create detailed and accurate work instructions for routine tasks
 * Provide day-to-day technical support for users across office and manufacturing environments as needed
 * Assist with workstation setup, hardware installation, software deployment, and troubleshooting as needed
 * Support network, server, and endpoint maintenance activities as needed
