Responsibilities include database administration, performance tuning, patching, backup and recovery, vulnerability remediation, and implementation of database security controls., This position will also support database lifecycle activities, including installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, automation, and optimization of database systems. The DBA will work with SQL Server and related database technologies while helping improve system reliability, query performance, data integrity, and overall operational efficiency., * Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server database environments. * Perform database patching, upgrades, backups, restores, and routine maintenance. * Support vulnerability remediation and IAVA compliance reporting. * Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries, indexes, and database structures. * Implement and manage database security, including access controls, permissions, roles, and encryption standards. * Develop and maintain automation scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell. * Support cloud-hosted database solutions using AWS services such as RDS, EC2, Lambda, and CloudFormation. * Assist with infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform. * Evaluate and support current and emerging DBMS tools, strategies, and technologies. * Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. ## Related Videos - [Dev & Test in the Cloud?
