## About the Role

* At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, web developer, or a similar role
 * Deep expertise in developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs using TypeScript/JavaScript
 * Hands-on experience with Node.js and meaningful exposure to one or more modern server runtimes such as Bun, Deno, or Cloudflare Workers - with a solid understanding of how they differ in module systems, APIs, performance characteristics, and deployment models
 * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
 * You're based in San Francisco (Bay Area) or are excited about the prospect of relocating to this thriving tech hub

Bonus points for:

 * Experience working with WinterCG, the Web-interoperable Runtimes Community Group, or other runtime interoperability initiatives
 * Familiarity with OpenTelemetry instrumentation in server-side or edge environments
 * A history of contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries
 * Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups

The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $190,000 to $280,000. A successful candidate's actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate's work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry's employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate's position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage).
