 * Proven experience building backend applications with deep expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
 * Strong understanding of transaction processing systems, data storage patterns, and batch processing models.
 * Exceptional analytical, debugging, and code optimization capabilities.

## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our enterprise IT division. In this fully remote, long-term contract role, you will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing critical application systems using core technical frameworks., * Design, code, test, and debug high-performance systems and batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.

 * Develop and maintain transactional processing workflows within CICS environments to ensure high availability.
 * Construct complex DB2 database queries, tables, views, and perform targeted query optimization.
 * Analyze complex business requirements and software specifications to translate them into robust technical solutions.
 * Troubleshoot production environments, locate root causes of application faults, and implement fixes.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional architecture and engineering teams to support enterprise-wide platform upgrades.
