(Additional education in personnel administration may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. Preferred Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources, computer information systems, business administration, public administration, economics, or a related field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Transparent and high integrity leadership. * Organizational abilities, including planning, scheduling and task facilitation. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. * Written and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic with a high degree of energy. * Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in supporting, applying, and interpreting office policies and procedures. * Ability to use initiative to include creatively identifying both traditional and non-traditional methods of problem solving in the completion of work tasks in the most effective and efficient manner. * Ability to gather, correlate, and analyze facts. Ability to prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive reports and memos. * Ability to establish project timelines and meet objectives ensuring to keep employees and Department HR Liaison's informed of project status and/or deviations from original expectations. * Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment simultaneously while also ensuring effective and efficient use of time. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff as well as the public and members of other organizations. * Ability to perform duties of increasing complexity, difficulty, or responsibility. * Ability to work independently. * Ability to communicate with and relate to individuals of diverse disabilities and backgrounds. * Ability to understand and apply Baltimore County personnel law, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and memoranda of understanding. Applicants must state the dates and duties of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes. ## Description Reporting to the Chief of Human Resources Information Systems and under general supervision, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing a wide range of complex office administration and support., * Implements and administers departmental office systems and procedures. * Communicates policies and procedures to departments, county employees and external partners. * Reviews and approves HCM transactions in Workday such as New Hires, Rehires, Name Changes, Edit Position, Supervisory Organization Movement Tasks, and reviews Compensation, etc. * Conducts and Coordinates New employee Sign-In; such as creating sign-in folders, creating New Hire communications with BCG agencies, presenting new employee presentation. * Supports HCM Core with troubleshooting escalated HCM Workday concerns by way of resolving Workday tickets, HCM Outlook inbox inquiries, telephone inquiries, training, etc. * Completes various Workday projects, as assigned. * Creates New Hires' badges. * Miscellaneous duties such as collecting & distributing interoffice mail, scanning & saving files, copying sign-in documents, etc. * Serves as back up to other division Office Assistants. * Performs other duties as assigned., Membership in Baltimore County Employees Federal Credit Union offers a full range of savings programs, loans, checking, direct deposit, payroll deduction, savings bonds, and other financial services. Direct Deposit Payroll through direct deposit to the financial institution selected by employee is required. Educational Assistance 70 to 80 percent tuition reimbursement following successful completion of pre-approved courses related to position.
