You've built an events or community program from scrappy to scaled. * Operator mindset. You can design the strategy deck and also run a 10×10 booth at 7 AM. You've done both and you're energized by both. * Proven track record of driving measurable acquisition through IRL channels - not just "brand awareness," but actual sign-ups, conversions, and CAC math you can point to. * Experience building and managing a distributed field team (community managers, brand ambassadors, local market leads) with clear incentives, content expectations, and performance accountability. * Brand partnerships or business development experience. You've negotiated deals with sports properties, wellness brands, or cultural platforms and activated them to see proven business results. * Strong creative instinct and content sensibility. You understand that every event is a content production moment and you naturally think about how IRL translates to social. * Genuine affinity for the health, wellness, endurance, or fitness communities. You know the run club world, the wellness conference circuit, and the cultural moments that matter. * Extreme comfort with ambiguity and startup pace. Budgets are fluid, org charts are evolving, and the best plan is the one you can ship this week. * Exceptional project management and logistics skills. You can run a custom $200K experiential pop-up build and a scrappy gym pop-up in the same week without dropping a ball. ## Description Rythm has a structural advantage that makes our offering unique in the marketplace: people can experience our product in person and join Rythm IRL. When someone tries a painless at-home blood test at a run club, a conference, or a branded activation, the product sells itself. That makes IRL one of our highest-ROI acquisition channels and the most powerful brand-building tool we have in a world of AI-generated noise and declining trust in what people see online. As the Head of Events & Community, you will own and build the entire Events & Community function from the ground up. This is a three-pillar team spanning Events, Community, and Brand Partnerships - and today it is largely an open canvas. You'll inherit a driven team of Event Coordinators and the energy of an early-stage team that has already proven the model. Your job is to turn what's been scrappy and into a scalable, predictable engine that brings Rythm to life in real life across priority DMAs nationwide, while guiding a content engine that can plug into our digital channels. You will sit in the Marketing organization and partner closely with the creative, growth, and creator teams. We're looking for someone who sits at the nexus of strategy and operations - a hands-on program builder who can design the playbook, manage the team and also show up at 6 AM to set up the tent. You think and execute in flywheels: events generate content, content feeds paid and organic, paid and organic drive awareness, awareness drives prospects to the next event. * This role requires a heavy travel component. Must be comfortable traveling 1-2 weeks per month. WHAT YOU'LL DO Event Strategy & Execution * Own and execute Rythm's barbell event strategy. Build and execute a pipeline spanning large-scale branded activations (1,000+ attendees, immersive brand builds, extensive amplification) on one end, and high-frequency community pop-ups (run clubs, gyms, local wellness events) on the other. * Design activation systems across different sizing tiers with repeatable kits, mockups, and logistics for each. * Oversee event operations end-to-end: vendor management, permitting, freight and equipment logistics, staffing plans, run-of-show, on-site live testing flow, biohazard compliance, and post-event teardown. * Drive measurable subscriber acquisition on-site at every activation, optimizing for sign-up volume, on-site test completion, and blended event CAC. * Build the event calendar in lockstep with the CEO and marketing team, prioritizing activations in key DMAs (NYC/Tri-State, LA, SF/Bay Area, Austin, Miami) and high-signal cultural moments (endurance races, health conferences, run club circuits). Community Program Development * Design, launch, and scale a Community Lead program across priority metros, recruiting on-the-ground brand representatives who activate locally - showing up at run clubs, gyms, and wellness communities to build relationships, drive testing, and create content. * Build and prove out the playbook for Community Leads: sourcing strategy, onboarding, incentive structures, content expectations, and performance tracking. * Develop a local density strategy: identify the influential networks, run clubs, fitness communities, and micro-influencers in each target DMA and build authentic, sustained relationships. * Create a feedback loop between Community Leads and the broader marketing org to disseminate on-the-ground insights about customer sentiment, competitive presence, and content opportunities. * Scout, hire and manage Community Leads in critical DMAs, expanding to additional markets as the program proves out. Brand Partnerships * Identify, negotiate, and execute brand partnership deals that extend Rythm's reach into adjacent communities such as endurance sports, sports organizations, wellness brands, and lifestyle properties. * Stand up a Sports Marketing capability within the function: position Rythm as the health-data partner of choice for athletes, teams, and sporting events where frequent biomarker tracking has a natural fit. * Evaluate partnership opportunities through an acquisition lens (subscriber sign-ups, CAC, content value) as well as a brand lens (positioning, audience quality, credibility & social proof). * Structure deals creatively - from co-branded activations and event partnerships to sponsored race series and exclusive event integrations. * Manage partnership relationships post-deal: ensure activation quality, track ROI, and build toward long-term strategic alliances rather than one-off logo placements. Content Generation & Brand Storytelling * Treat every event as a content production opportunity. Ensure that activations, community events, and brand partnerships generate a steady stream of photo, video, and UGC that feeds paid social, organic TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. * Coordinate with the creative team on shot lists, same-day social posting workflows, and post-event content packages to deliver a steady pipeline of winning content. * Build the IRL-to-digital flywheel: events generate authentic content, content fuels Meta and TikTok, social reach drives awareness for the next event. * Develop branded merchandise and activation assets (hats, crewnecks, water cans, stickers, branded equipment) that reinforce Rythm's visual identity and serve as organic brand impressions beyond the event itself. * Champion Rythm's brand positioning in everything you build: we are a brand that resonates across several demographics and segments. Team Building & Operational Leadership * Build and lead the Events & Community function: work with company leadership and design your org while making critical hires to drive results. * Create scalable operational infrastructure: event playbooks, activation kits by tier, merch inventory management, freight and storage solutions (local storage hubs in key markets) - all fitting within a standardized budget that you manage. * Own the Events & Community P&L: build the business case for the program and each activation, tracking business results and brand aura. Report to leadership with a clear view of what's working and where to double down. * Serve as the connective tissue between IRL and digital - ensuring that community insights, event learnings, and partnership opportunities flow back to the to customer-facing functions in real-time. ## Related Videos - [Edit Your Future: Queerverse Radical AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/909-edit-your-future-queerverse-radical-ai) - [The Future of Work:
