## About the Role

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Development, GIS, or related field

 + 3+ years of professional software development experience

 + Proven experience with GIS software development

 + Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)

Required Skills and Competencies:

 + Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C++, or similar)

 + Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles

 + Experience with relational databases and SQL

 + Demonstrated experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically:

 + Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (CJMTK)

 + ESRI ArcGIS suite of commercial software developer components

 + ArcGIS Runtime

 + ArcGIS Engine

 + ArcGIS extensions including, + ArcGIS Server

 + Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices

 + Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

 + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

 + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

 + Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies

 + Understanding of software security principles

 + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

 + Must be able to work on-site at Stennis Space Center, MS

Clearance Requirement:

 + Secret security clearance

Desired Skills and Competencies:

 + Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

 + Knowledge of microservices architecture

 + Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

 + Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

 + Experience with Agile development methodologies

 + Experience with test-driven development

 + Federal government contract experience

 + Security clearance or ability to obtain one
