## About the Role

Do you have experience in macOS support?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

 * Advanced system administration experience with exposure to Linux, Mac & Windows.
 * Scripting and command line experience
 * Experience performing system backups.
 * Self directed - proven ability to work, and satisfy customer needs, with minimal day to day direction.
 * Ability to work well in a team environment and also independently.
 * Ability and willingness to communicate tasks and concepts to others.
 * Strong communication and customer relations skills.
 * Good documentation skills.
 * Understanding of IT security best practices.
 * Understanding of storage systems including SAN, NAS and concepts like RAID, NFS and LUNs
 * Understanding of basic networking concepts.
 * Bachelor's degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Existing Public Trust clearance
 * NASA experience
 * Support of research computing operations environment
 * Enterprise Virtualizations such as VMware ESXi / vCenter
 * Hybrid cloud implementation and cloud migration
 * Kubernetes implementation & security configuration

Ansible playbook development in a collaborative environment using Git or Gitlab repos

Desired Training/Certifications

 * Red Hat Certifications: (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator - RHCSA, Red Hat Certified Engineer - RHCE):
 * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
 * CompTIA Security+ Server+
 * Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
 * AWS Certifications: (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator)
 * Microsoft Azure Certifications: (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert)

The role is responsible for performing IT systems support in engineering and laboratory environments. ...  * Installation and configuration of complex scientific software packages.
 * Proactively monitor, analyze, and correct system issues.

 * End user support in tracking and resolving issues via ticketing system.
