What you'll do...: The Director of Software Engineering leads cross-functional engineering teams within the Wave platform and partners closely with peer leadership across H&R Block's Small Business organization. This role is responsible for delivering complex, multi-team initiatives that integrate Wave and H&R Block systems into a unified small business experience. The Director operates at the intersection of engineering execution, delivery leadership, and cross-organizational alignment-ensuring teams are structured effectively, operating efficiently, and delivering against strategic priorities. This role requires strong technical fluency, disciplined execution, and the ability to collaborate across product, design, and engineering functions.
