Preferred Qualifications * One (1) or more years' teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits). * Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software. ## Description The College is seeking part-time lecturers who are passionate about inspiring, teaching and supporting the academic success of students enrolled in the Second Chance Pell Program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Dean or designee, the Adjunct shall teach their assigned course(s) in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules, perform other related responsibilities, be available at reasonable times to confer with students outside of class, and maintain accurate student records. Each semester shall be for a maximum of sixteen (16) weeks and shall include eighty (80) scheduled days of instruction and evaluation. Incumbents can teach a total of up to 8 credits per semester within the CSCC system., * Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards * Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes * Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising * Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials, Special Requirements Incumbent must go through a complete Department of Corrections Background check and attend a 3-hour Volunteer, Intern and Professional Partner (VIP) training on safety and security.
