Ability to assess the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated content, maintain confidentiality, and apply sound judgment and ethical practices in the use of technology * Available to teach evenings and/or weekends as needed, * Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified, Google AI, CompTIA) * Industry experience applying programming or AI in real-world projects * Experience working with non-traditional or underserved learners ## Description Washtenaw Community College is seeking qualified instructors to teach non-credit courses in Programming, with a focus on Python, AWS, and foundational AI technologies. These courses are designed to prepare learners for emerging opportunities in tech and AI-related careers. Instructors will provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences in either in-person or virtual formats. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging and practical instruction in AWS cloud services and introductory AI concepts. * Create or adapt instructional content based on program objectives and learner needs. * Teach in-person and/or virtually in a high-quality, interactive manner. * Collaborate with stakeholders including program staff, students, and community/industry partners. * Attend orientation and complete required compliance training. * Maintain timely communication with learners and staff. * Propose new course offerings annually aligned with tech industry trends. * Stay current in field of expertise and contribute to continuous course improvement. * Assist with course marketing and outreach efforts. * Submit required materials such as syllabi, attendance, and evaluations on time. * Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, improve communication and information management, support decision-making, and other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
