The instructor will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing instructional activities that promote foundational Al knowledge in a supportive, interdisciplinary learning environment. * Teach introductory Artificial Intelligence concepts, including but not limited to machine learning fundamentals, data literacy, AI applications, and ethical considerations, in a clear and accessible manner for students with varying levels of technical background. * Design and facilitate interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and group projects that reinforce AI concepts through real-world examples and practical applications. * Develop course materials, including presentations, exercises, and assessments appropriate for a short-term, intensive program format. * Encourage student participation and collaboration through discussions, presentations, and team-based learning activities. * Integrate cross-cultural perspectives and examples to help students understand the global impact and relevance of AI technologies. * Adapt teaching strategies to support non-native English speakers, ensuring concepts are communicated effectively and inclusively. * Provide guidance and feedback to students on assignments, projects, and overall progress throughout the program. * Foster a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and ethical awareness in AI. * Collaborate with program staff and coordinators to ensure alignment with program goals and student learning outcomes. * Contribute to co-curricular or cultural activities, as appropriate, to enhance the overall student experience in Hawai?i. * Other duties as assigned, Employment is contingent on satisfying employment eligibility verification requirements of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986; reference checks of previous employers; and for certain positions, criminal history record checks.
