Google's custom-designed machines make up computing infrastructures in the world. The hardware validation team ensures that this equipment operates properly electrically, functions as intended, meets quality requirements, and exhibits the level of reliability expected by customers. You will work within our lab environments, planning for and executing the required testing. Working with design engineers, you will give inputs on designs to improve our hardware until you're sure it meets Google's standards of quality, reliability, and security., * Create test plans and coordinate resources across test environments. * Perform electrical, functional, and signal integrity testing for Google's networking equipment and other data center hardware solutions. Analyze results to ensure that they meet Google's requirements. * Use scopes, protocol analyzers, bit error rate testers (BERTs), and other lab equipment to collect data. Organize data and incorporate learnings to maintain and improve the qualification process. * Validate interfaces like Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) Gen 5/6, Ethernet, and inter-chip interconnects. * Communicate status updates to cross-functional teams and leadership.
