Non-Technical Expertise: * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. * Experience working in matrixed or split-ownership environments. * Proven ability to lead virtual teams and influence without direct authority. * Agile mindset: experience with Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks. * Ability to translate business needs into user stories and prioritize backlogs. * Change management and training experience. ## Description The role is accountable for the end to end product lifecycle of Microsoft 365, with Copilot as the primary strategic focus. This includes shaping the user experience and value realised from core M365 services such as Office applications, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. Operating within a matrixed environment with split ownership across M365 services, the Product Owner leads cross functional initiatives, aligns stakeholders, and coordinates delivery across multiple teams to ensure consistent outcomes for users. Principal Responsibilities Microsoft 365 Platform Ownership * Own the product vision and experience for core Microsoft 365 services including Office apps, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, with Copilot as the primary accelerator. * Define and maintain usage patterns, standards and guardrails for collaboration, content storage and productivity. * Partner with service owning teams to influence roadmap decisions, prioritisation and technical outcomes. * Balance innovation with operational stability, compliance and user simplicity. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement * Act as the primary point of contact for Copilot and assigned M365 apps. * Engage with stakeholders across business units (e.g., Investment, Back Office, Sales, IT, Compliance). * Facilitate regular feedback sessions and communicate product vision and roadmap. * Build and lead virtual teams, managing resources outside direct reporting lines. Product Ownership & Strategy * Develop and maintain a unified product roadmap across Copilot and core M365 services, ensuring capabilities land in a way that improves how people actually work day to day. * Align product strategy with business goals, user needs, and industry trends. * Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and user feedback. * Own the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational priorities. Implementation & Adoption * Drive adoption of standard collaboration models across Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive. * Ensure Office applications are configured and evolved to support modern, AI assisted ways of working. * Reduce complexity and duplication across M365 by simplifying choices for end users. User Experience & Value Realization * Champion end user experience across Microsoft 365, using Copilot to amplify productivity while ensuring the underlying M365 experience is intuitive, consistent and trusted. * Gather and analyse user feedback, usage data, and adoption metrics. * Identify and address barriers to adoption and maximize business value. Governance & Compliance * Ensure product compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR). * Support governance frameworks for M365, including licensing, data protection, and lifecycle management.
