This role will contribute to both backend services and frontend user interfaces for web and mobile applications used by researchers and clinicians at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This is a full-time position with Guidehouse and may be performed remotely or on-site at NIH in Rockville, MD. The Software Developer will work closely with PhD-level scientists and subject matter experts to translate complex scientific workflows into reliable, scalable software solutions. The role will develop software that makes complex scientific data and processes accessible and actionable. Development is highly collaborative and iterative, driven by ongoing feedback from researchers, clinical staff, subject matter experts, and fellow developers. Strong communication skills are essential, as the Developer will regularly interact with non-technical business roles to understand requirements and explain technical solutions clearly.
