The Secretary provides efficient secretarial support, reception, and communication services to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Primary Duties Performed

 * Types and edits departmental materials
 * Prepares necessary pay documents and forms
 * Maintains appointment and meeting calendars
 * Answers telephone calls, screens and refers calls, and takes messages; provides information as appropriate
 * Composes and types correspondence with or without notes
 * Assembles various records to prepare periodic reports
 * Completes necessary forms to order and pay for items; maintains inventory of forms and supplies
 * Maintains a filing system, including confidential files
 * Additional duties as assigned
