Preferred Certifications Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) - Database Administration ## Description Meridian Cooperative is looking for an experienced Database Administrator II (DBA II) with 6-8 years of hands-on expertise in Oracle databases and cloud database platforms. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PL/SQL, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and automation, with exposure to AWS and OCI database services. Responsibilities * Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases across on-premises and cloud environments. * Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages. * Write intermediate-level shell scripts with loops, conditionals, error handling, and logging to automate tasks. * Design, implement, and validate backup/recovery strategies using RMAN; perform test recoveries and point-in-time recovery. * Monitor and analyze performance using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and SQL Tuning Advisor; recommend indexing strategies. * Experience with provisioning and managing databases on AWS RDS, EC2-hosted Oracle, and OCI DB Systems/Autonomous Databases. * Implement security controls including roles, privileges, auditing policies, encryption (TDE), and user lifecycle management. * Participate in data modeling and schema design reviews; recommend partitioning, indexing, and structure improvements. * Perform routine Linux administration: file systems, permissions, process monitoring, and log rotation. * Collaborate with developers, architects, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions. ## Related Videos - [Hacking MSSQL on Cloud.
