## About the Role

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, UX/UI Design; or in a related design or front-end related field.
 * 5+ years of experience designing and developing user interfaces and prototypes using UCD methodologies.
 * Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

 * Experience developing complex design systems.
 * JS libraries/frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.
 * Scripting languages (Python or Ruby preferred).
 * Designing responsive user interfaces across different devices (web, mouse/touch, mobile).
 * The workflow includes testing and documentation.
 * Visual design skills, strong interest/knowledge of typography.
 * Designing with accessibility and localization in mind.
 * Mobile user interface design (Apple HIG, Google Material).
 * Portfolio examples of compelling web/app experiences.

## Description

* Partner with other designers and developers to design and build the system, which includes our design tokens, component library, and design system site.
 * Serve as a bridge between design and development teams.
 * Advocate for design in the enterprise; both internally at SAS, and externally via our Medium publication and other web presences.
 * Collaborate with Product Management to validate desired functionality.
 * Interactively test the system using low and/or high-fidelity prototypes.
 * Leverage user data and research, both quantitative and qualitative, to make decisions (surveys, usability tests, feedback from support).
 * See the world and our products through the eyes of our users and design to meet their mental models.
