Preferred Experience * Low-voltage cabling knowledge, including copper, fiber, patch panels, racks, IDFs/MDFs, labeling, testing, cable dressing, and physical equipment installation. * Experience supporting VoIP environments, call quality troubleshooting, and QoS. * Experience with IP cameras, access control, intercoms, paging, or physical security systems. * Experience with network monitoring and management platforms. * Experience with cloud-managed networking platforms. * Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, APIs, or configuration templates. * Experience with public-sector, education, healthcare, or multi-site enterprise environments. * Experience leading technical projects Preferred Certifications * CWNA * CWNP certifications * Aruba ACNT * Aruba ACSP * Aruba ACMP * CompTIA Network+ * CompTIA Security+ * Cisco CCNA or higher * Juniper JNCIA or higher * Fortinet NSE certifications * Extreme Networks certifications * Palo Alto certifications, * Ability to pass State of Tennessee TBI and Federal FBI background checks. * Valid U.S. work authorization. * Valid driver's license. * Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel. * Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, maintenance windows, and off-hours as needed. * Commitment to ongoing training, professional development, and manufacturer certifications. * Strong communication, documentation, organization, and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with a technical team. ## Description * Design, configure, implement, and optimize wired and wireless networks. * Deploy and support switches, routers, wireless access points, controllers, firewalls, VPNs, and network security solutions. * Rack, mount, and physically install network equipment, UPS systems, and related infrastructure. * Organize, route, label, and dress network cabling in IDF/MDF closets, racks, and cabinets in a clean and professional manner. * Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, routing, wireless, and security issues. * Configure and manage firewall policies, VPN tunnels, NAT rules, security profiles, and access control policies. * Support network authentication solutions including 802.1X, RADIUS, NAC, PKI, and certificate-based authentication. * Perform wireless site surveys, predictive designs, validation surveys, and post-install assessments using Ekahau. * Analyze RF environments and make recommendations for wireless performance, roaming, channel planning, and client connectivity. * Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, implementation plans, procedures, and troubleshooting notes. * Work directly with customers to understand requirements, communicate technical findings, and deliver professional solutions. * Participate in project planning, implementation, cutovers, migrations, and post-project support. * Stay current with manufacturer best practices, security standards, and emerging networking technologies. * Travel to customer sites as required, including overnight travel. * Perform off-hours, evening, weekend, or maintenance-window work as project needs require. ## Related Videos -
