 * Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)

Required Skills and Competencies:

 * Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C++, or similar)
 * Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
 * Experience with relational databases and SQL
 * Demonstrated experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically:
 * Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (CJMTK)
 * ESRI ArcGIS suite of commercial software developer components
 * ArcGIS Runtime
 * ArcGIS Engine
 * ArcGIS extensions including:
 * 3-D Analyst
 * Geostatistical Analyst
 * Network Analyst
 * Spatial Analyst
 * Tracking Analyst
 * ArcGIS Server
 * Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
 * Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
 * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
 * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
 * Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
 * Understanding of software security principles
 * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
 * Must be able to work on-site at Stennis Space Center, MS

## Description

The Software Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications with a strong emphasis on geospatial technologies, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions., * Design, code, test, and debug software applications

 * Develop and maintain GIS applications using ESRI technologies
 * Collaborate with team members on software design and code reviews
 * Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
 * Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
 * Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
 * Document technical specifications and maintain software documentation
 * Participate in Agile development processes including daily stand-ups and sprint planning
 * Implement security and data protection solutions
 * Optimize application performance and scalability
 * Create and maintain geospatial databases and services
