Desirable Knowledge * Rail systems and products including sensors, transmissions, couplers, and drives. * Engineering and quality standards such as ISO 9001, RSSB, RISAS, RISQS, and TfL/LUL standards. * Knowledge of NPI, FMECA, system integration, and validation activities., * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and manage technical ownership * High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety * Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset * Comfortable working across multiple teams, sites, and international projects ## Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Support Engineer to join a specialist engineering team supporting the delivery, maintenance, and development of complex electro-mechanical systems within the rail and industrial sectors. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong electrical design, fault-finding, and technical documentation experience who enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities * Manage electrical engineering tasks, testing activities, and technical issues alongside senior engineering personnel. * Create, maintain, and develop electrically focused job packs and engineering documentation. * Manage engineering changes (ECs), concessions, and technical updates related to electrical systems. * Create, review, certify, and maintain electrically biased Bills of Materials (BoMs). * Control and maintain electrical drawings, manuals, technical data, and system documentation. * Design, specify, select, and reverse engineer electrical components, systems, and test equipment. * Carry out investigations, root cause analysis, and fault diagnosis relating to NCRs, warranty claims, customer complaints, and equipment failures. * Coordinate wiring-related special processes and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
