Some travel is expected as you support clinics, perform site assessments, assist with implementations, and build relationships across the organization. ## Description As a Systems Engineer at Southern Pediatrics, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the technology systems that power our growing pediatric clinic network. You will help standardize infrastructure across all locations while ensuring our technology remains secure, reliable, and easy for staff to use. Working closely with the Director of IT, you will play a key role in building Southern Pediatrics' internal IT function as we transition technology services from outsourced providers to a modern, scalable in-house operation. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project execution, allowing you to lead infrastructure improvements, implement new technologies, and help establish the standards and processes that will support our continued growth. Success in this role is measured not by the number of tickets closed, but by the reliability, security, and scalability of the technology systems that support our clinics, providers, and patients. After 6 months, you have: · Become a trusted technical resource for clinic staff and internal stakeholders. · Assisted with Microsoft 365 tenant consolidations, user migrations, and identity management initiatives. · Implemented and supported endpoint management solutions across Windows and macOS devices. · Standardized workstation deployments using Intune, Autopilot, and established device lifecycle processes. · Assessed clinic infrastructure and helped resolve network, Wi-Fi, and endpoint performance issues. · Developed familiarity with Southern Pediatrics' clinical applications, workflows, and support processes. After 12 months, you have: · Led technical implementations for new clinics, office moves, and infrastructure upgrades. · Established consistent endpoint management, patching, and security practices across all locations. · Helped reduce reliance on external vendors by bringing key technical functions in-house. · Implemented and maintained security solutions including endpoint protection, MFA, conditional access, and device compliance policies. · Built documentation, standards, and operational procedures that improve support efficiency and consistency. · Served as the primary escalation point for complex infrastructure and systems issues. After 18 months, you have: · Become the technical lead for infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, and cloud administration. · Successfully supported the standardization of hardware, networking, and security technologies across the organization. · Developed automation and operational efficiencies that reduce manual work and improve user experience. · Partnered with the Director of IT to evaluate new technologies, vendors, and strategic initiatives. · Helped build a scalable IT support model capable of supporting continued organizational growth. · Established yourself as a trusted advisor to clinic leaders and operational teams on technology-related initiatives.
