Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required Supplemental Information ## Description The IT Contracts Manager ensures the Environment Department can effectively deliver its mission by securing, managing, and maximizing the value of IT Professional Services. The role exists to provide agency-wide oversight of IT contracts, ensuring vendors meet expectations, deliverables are completed as agreed, and contract expenditures remain aligned with budgets and timelines. By maintaining strong monitoring and governance over contract performance, burn rates, and compliance, the position protects the agency from financial, operational, and service-delivery risks. This position also supports organizational strategy by contributing to the development of IT contracts and budgets, coordinating procurement and invoicing activities, and working closely with project managers and financial staff to ensure that IT projects have the resources and oversight needed for successful execution. Through collaboration with IT leadership, OIT leadership, project teams, and financial managers, the role helps ensure that IT initiatives are well-scoped, cost-effective, and aligned with department priorities and fiscal planning needs.
