You will be expected to approach technical decisions pragmatically to ensure the value of the work is top priority. You'll demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning new skills as well as sharing and teaching areas of your expertise. You'll play an integral role in impacting team culture, practice, and engagement. * Participate in all aspects of the SDLC * Collaborate with product managers, other engineers, and domain experts to design and develop applications * Collaborate with network engineers to ensure that the value applications are designed for is achieved * Create software development documentation * Contribute to troubleshooting and technical support * As an experienced engineer of the development team, assign or assist in the allocation of work to team members * Create and maintain software applications wile modeling industry best practices and standards (i.e., fixing bugs, developing new features, writing tests, code review, etc.) * Identify root causes of complex issues while communicating the benefits and drawback of different approaches * Actively contribute to empowerment of the team (e.g., Mentor less experienced team members, spread internal system knowledge, assist team members in delivering solutions as needed, etc.), LIS consistently provides information technology, strategic direction and forward-thinking solutions that are vital to the smooth and efficient operation of Ohio's legislative processes serving the citizens of Ohio.
