Nice to have: + Power systems emphasis or experience in electric utility operations. + Experience with Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), SCADA systems, RTUs, or intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). + Knowledge of GIS, OMS, AMI/AMR, or related utility enterprise applications. + Experience with distribution automation, voltage reduction, load control, or power factor correction programs. + Familiarity with utility communication protocols and smart grid technologies. + Experience supporting grid-scale distributed energy resource (DER) projects. The Distribution Applications Engineer I supports the development, implementation, and operation of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and distribution automation technologies that enhance electric system reliability, efficiency, and operational awareness. This role configures, maintains, and troubleshoots communications between field devices and ADMS platforms while supporting smart grid initiatives, voltage reduction programs, and automated power factor control.
