You will serve as the electrical lead for one or multiple subsystems, driving cross-functional decision-making that bridges the gap between hardware and software. This role demands high-level judgment to translate complex system interactions into clear, safety-first requirements. You will drive component designs from concept through implementation, defining validation strategies, and conducting system testing. Beyond the desk, you will implement prototypes, system bringup on bucks, lead deep-dive debugs, and support factory bringups to create the world's most efficient and vertically integrated autonomous vehicles. What You'll Do * Applysystems engineering principles to distill high-levelobjectivesinto quantifiable constraints and actionable requirements for hardware and software teams * Develop code and scripts to solve complex integration problems, developprototypes, automate workflows, and bridge gaps between subsystems * Leaddiscussions amonga widevariety of engineers specializing in electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing etcdomains * Define and executehands-onvehicle-level test plans, utilizing data analysis tovalidate software features and hardware interactionsandtriage issues * ActivelydevelopAI-enabledworkflows to accelerate decision-making, requirement setting, and feedback analysis * Be responsible forthe overall functional andperformance maturityofa system and its features from early prototyping to full deployment * Lead the triage and debugging of complex hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment * Exercise critical thinking and leadership to manage program priorities, support multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate technical risks to cross-functional stakeholders ## Related Videos - [Building a hypercar from scratch](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/607-building-a-hypercar-from-scratch) - [Automated Driving - Why is it so hard to introduce](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/628-automated-driving-why-is-it-so-hard-to-introduce) - [Leveraging Large Language Models for Legacy Code Translation: Challenges and Solutions](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1157-leveraging-large-language-models-for-legacy-code-translation-challenges-and-solutions) - [Docker network without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1418-docker-network-without-docker) - [Playing Pong on a shoulder press machine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100140-playing-pong-on-a-shoulder-press-machine) - [Software stack under and over the hood of the fastest accelerating car in the world](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/221-software-stack-under-and-over-the-hood-of-the-fastest-accelerating-car-in-the-world) ## Related Articles - [How software is steering vehicle technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/515-how-software-is-steering-vehicle-technology) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer) - [Dev Digest 137 - AI'm not sure about this](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/485-dev-digest-137-ai-m-not-sure-about-this) - [How we Build The Software of Tomorrow](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/120-how-we-build-the-software-of-tomorrow) - [What Jobs Can You Get with a Software Engineering Degree?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/398-what-jobs-can-you-get-with-a-software-engineering-degree)
