## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree and/or 12+ years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

 * Windows, Linux, and Solaris Server experience with an expertise in at least one.

 * Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI practices

 * Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI is required for this position.

 * Currently possess DoD 8570 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ CE * Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.

 * Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.

 * Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow

 * ITIL v3 Foundation certified

## Description

We are currently hiring a TS/SCI Cleared Sr. System Administrator to work onsite at Ft. Meade, MD in support of the daily operation and sustainment of DISA's networks. This individual will work in a mixed Windows/Linux server environment and act as the SME on all VDI-related issues and needs. He/she will provide support for ticket escalation on major outages, handling Tier 3 support. Additional responsibilities include providing input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements, standing up new enclaves as needed, maintaining SOPs, and coaching lower-level technical staff.
